Bacardi

The largest privately held and spirits company in the world and partnered with Liquor.com to promote their portfolio of brands such as Bombay Sapphire Gin, Cazadores Tequila, Dewars Scotch Whiskey, D'Usse Cognac, Grey Goose Vodka, Saint Germain Liqueur and Bacardi Rum in a series of creative undertakings—Bacardi Cocktail Adventure, Legacy Contest and Barshift.

Legacy Contest

One of Bacardi's most prestigious events—'Bacardi Legacy' is where world's best bartenders create rum cocktails inspired by over 150 years of the Bacardi legacy. In order to sign-up for the contest, a fully responsive, mobile-first microsite was developed that allowed participating bartenders to create a profile and submit their signature recipes. Contenders could then log-in and either update their profiles or turn in new recipes as they progressed through the contest.

As per Bacardi's universal style, the primary colours for the brand are Negro and Fuego. Secondary to these are Blanco and Oro, which should be used as accent colours. Akzidenz-Grotesk is one of the earliest sans serif fonts cut specifically for hot-metal typesetting. It is an extremely versatile and timeless font with variety and functionality. It can be used large or in smaller sizes as subheadings or footnotes. The secondary headline display fonts, Clarendon Bold is used to add variation and interest.

Barshift

The 'Bar Shift' event is to elevate professional bartenders across the country through an educational exchange programme. Ten rising bartending stars get the opportunity to travel to a landmark cocktail bar in another city and learn from that establishment's resident expert. This incredible experience allows a bartender to swap cities with a fellow barkeep, and both learn what it takes to succeed behind the stick at some of the country's finest drinking destinations.

Most of the print collateral such as cocktail menus, posters, travel badges and the travel journal itself can be seen in the teaser video at the very top. Additionally, here are some samples of the creative material developed for Bacardi's 'Bar Shift' travel journal covering various cities and venues.

Cocktail Adventure

The 'Cocktail Adventure' presents the entire portfolio of Bacardi's spirits and the cocktails that could be created using these. The application takes users on a spirits journey where each of the countries hosts a specific spirit. After selecting the base spirit, users can then choose the cocktail setting and have one of Bacardi's many signature recipes presented along with the cocktail's history, ingredients, and steps of preparation. Following that, the user can engage in a new adventure or explore similar cocktails.
